Why choose us above the rest?

Holiday Cottages in France is a fully registered entreprise professionelle under the heading of 'location de logements' and have been providing holidays for the last five years.  

Before coming to live here we spent many wonderful holidays ourselves in the Charente, staying in gites and farmhouses.  But there was one thing that was always missing - our accommodation  always lacked our romantic idea of what a French farmhouse would be like.  So when we started, our plan, from which we never strayed, was to give our guests the romantic French farmhouse for which we were always searching.  

Here you will find: large oak beams, Charentais fireplaces, floors of tiles and oak, furniture sourced from antique stores, antique markets, brocantes and vide greniers.  

Kitchens were purchased in France or custom-built to suit.  

Building materials were kept as traditional as possible, exposing the stone and repointing with sand and lime, not a quick cover-up with plasterboard.

We love our farmhouses, we love the incredible views that greet us every morning.  If what you want is the real France in a stunning location with the romantic feel of a real French farmhouse we'd love to see you.
